Reading the Chamber

Each dot represents one member of Congress. In Fidelity Arrangement, seats are positioned left-to-right by their Constitutional Fidelity Score — members with lower fidelity to the founding text sit on the left, higher fidelity on the right. The color shows the score (red = low, green = high), while the border indicates party.

In Party Arrangement, members are grouped by party as in a traditional chamber seating, but the brightness of each seat reflects their fidelity score. This reveals which members within each party are most and least faithful to the constitutional text.

Dashed outlines indicate members who have not yet been scored. Hover any seat to see the member's details, and click to view their full scorecard.
